Barack Obama DNC

OBAMA all the way! He made everybody in Denver cry. Colorado's already sad as it is. He made me sad moments in his speech. The man can speak. He made some good points and direct hits to McCain. I'm gonna vote for OBAMA!

The last convention I went to, I got shot. It was at the Los Angeles Convention Center where Rage Against the Machine played. And as soon as they started playing all hell broke loose, which is probably the reason why the Democratic convention will never come to LA again.

Now for those of you that missed Obama's speech to the world, here it is for you to watch.

JR In The Favelas Of Rio

I've been fan of JR for years, but this latest project, shot in the favelas of Rio is our favorite. The manner in which the photographs blend in with the landscape is absolutely stunning. Wow!

Monster Massive 08

Can Monster Reach 70,000 people only time will tell. I think they can as long as Insomniac Events don't hate and promote VEGOOSE. Sometimes Insomniac be hating. It seems like the Monopoly with Insomniac. I always been to Monster Massive. Now it seems like it will be a duo between Go & Insomniac since EDC did 65,000 without no other parties against them. Since Monster Massive around Halloween they still pull of the numbers. Since it's one of the busiest times of the year for clubs and events. Next Blog

We are pushing capacity to 70,000 this year!

Lords Of The Underground L.O.T.U.G

Lords Of The Underground.........Where you guys at?

Im a chief Rocka

The Lords of the Underground (L.O.T.U.G.) are a hip-hop trio based out of Newark, New Jersey. MCs Mr. Funke and DoItAll Dupré met DJ Lord Jazz (a native of Cleveland) when all three were undergraduates at Shaw University.

The three are perhaps best remembered for the singles "Funky Child", "Chief Rocka" and "Tic Toc"; all of which were wildly eccentric manifestos. The music video for "Funky Child" features one of the group members parading around in a diaper.

Tic Toc this is how we post blogs.

Their chief producer was Marley Marl's protégé, K-Def. Pete Rock remixed their songs "Flow On" and "Check It" in 1994 .

In their initial releases, their first two albums Here Come The Lords (1993) and Keepers of the Funk (1994), earned them an award from Black Entertainment Television in 1993 . They collaborated with George Clinton; their second album's title track, which samples his work, features him in a cameo. The track is generally more abrasive and less conventionally tuneful in its instrumentation than most of their work.

Checka man never faded. Look at those vintage Timberlands.

Gangster posturing was rhetorically referenced, but never outright indulged in, by the group, except on their 1995 single "Burn Rubber", which took a cavalier pro-carjacking attitude and featured a line where Mr. Funke unapologetically said he'd "even jeopardize [his] friends" for the sake of a jacking. However, the song was recorded for and prominently featured in the Newark car-jacking film "New Jersey Drive," and can be seen as a reflection of that film's mentality, as well as the popularity of joyriding carjacks in that city in the 1990s, rather than an endorsement of violent crime. Because their dalliance in gangsterism was half-hearted, they were one of a number of groups lost in the shuffle when gangsta rap became dominant.

Here's the comes the Lords

Their reunion album Resurrection (1999), released via Queen Latifah's Jersey Kidz imprint, was so small-scale a release that few realized it had been recorded. Da Brat made an appearance on it.

The Lords are best remembered in connection with the golden age of hip hop. As such, when Nas decided in 2007 to do a remix of his song "Where Are They Now?" (which asked of the fates of several long-forgotten golden age rappers). The Lords were among those requested to appear. DoItAll Dupré performs eight bars on the track. The others featured include Positive K, Father MC, Rob Base, Redhead Kingpin, Monie Love, and members of Black Sheep, Salt-N-Pepa, Three Times Dope, the Jungle Brothers, the Fu-Schnickens and Das EFX.

DoItAll appeared briefly in the final scene of the final episode of The Sopranos credited as Du Kelly, as one of a series of potentially ominous figures entering the diner.

Lords of the Underground also made a featured appearance on Pete Rock's 2008 album "NY's Finest" on the track "The Best Secret".

Because who's the Funky Child

Das Efx Old School Wednesday

Das Efx is one of my favorite hip hop groups. One of the firt tapes i jacked from target. I use to smoke and listen to a 40 and a Blunt ready to do some terror. On my cassette walk man.Das EFX is an American hip-hop group. It consists of emceess Skoob (also known as Books, born William "Willie" Hines on January 2, 1971) and Dre (also known as Krazy Drayzy, born Andre Weston on June 1, 1972). They rose to popularity in the early 1990s due to their affiliation with EPMD's Hit Squad and the group's stream of consciousness lyrical delivery, which became one of the most influential lyrical styles in hip hop music during the early 1990s.[1] Their style combined nonsensical lines with a fast-paced ragga-influenced flow (that included words that end with "iggity") and numerous pop culture references.

Both members of the group hail from Brooklyn, New York City but the two met at Virginia State University in 1988 and began performing together. They named themselves "Das" standing for "Drayz and Skoob" and "EFX" meaning "effects". Das EFX caught the attention of EPMD at a local talent show where, despite losing the competition, they did well enough to convince EPMD to sign them to a recording contract. The duo gained critical and commercial fame with the release of their landmark debut album, Dead Serious, which highlighted their unusual rapping style which they nicknamed "sewage".

Dead Serious went platinum and its lead single, "They Want EFX,"(which contains samples from James Brown's "Blind Man Can See It" and Malcolm McLaren's "Buffalo Gals") reached the top ten on Billboard magazine's R&B chart, the top 40 on its Hot 100 Singles chart and #1 on its Hot Rap Tracks chart. Follow-up singles "Mic Checka" and "Straight Out the Sewer" did not chart on the Hot 100 but reached #1 and #3 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, respectively.

The duo also made a guest appearance on Ice Cube's smash hit single "Check Yo Self". The song reached #20 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the Rap Tracks chart. Their refrain of "Chiggity-check yo self before you wriggity-wreck yo self" became a catchphrase in 1993. The song has since appeared in the videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on the radio station Radio Los Santos.

From the time of their debut in 1992 to 1993, several elements of their style were adopted by other hip-hop artists, including the Lords of the Underground, The Fu-Schnickens, Kris Kross, Common and even, to a lesser extent, Public Enemy. The iggity style was also referenced in the 1996 BLACKstreet song "No Diggity" with "diggity" meaning "doubt". This also became popular catchphrase at the time.

As their career progressed, however, Das EFX's once-distinctive and unique lyrical delivery became more commonplace as other artists, including a young Jay-Z, imitated it. Derailed by the popularity of their own style, the duo slowed down their fast-paced flow, eliminated the iggity prefix and downplayed their cartoonish content on their second album, Straight Up Sewaside. However, around the time of their third album Hold It Down (which was far less commercially successful than their debut release), Das EFX found themselves caught in the middle of EPMD's ugly breakup; it led to a three-year absence from recording. They returned in 1998 with the album Generation EFX and followed up in 2003 with the album How We Do; both were panned by critics. Das EFX continue to record and perform today to a much smaller yet devoted cult following.

In 2006, after a hiatus, Das Efx went on many International tours with DJ Rondevu.

In 2007, the group appeared on the remix of Nas' "Where are They Now" and continues to tour the globe on a regular basis.

In 2007 the group had a large European tour and performed in Serbia, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain, Germany, Japan, Chile and many other countries. They are currently working on a new album that is scheduled to come out in sometime in 2008.

Scifen TV

Scifen is a concept based clothing company. The concept is based on the derivation of our name, which comes from the combination of two words; SCIENCE and INFINITE. Science is defined as, "The state or fact of knowing; knowledge," and infinite is defined as "Endless."

For the brand, the sciences of life are infinite. There is so much in the world that we can't even begin to understand. Yet, there is a science to everything in our life. The more we learn about these sciences and the world around us, then the more we advance as people.

Our survival depends on the strength of our minds. It's time to arm our minds, so do your homework. Scifen is the subject, life is the test.

Tricky US Tour Dates

Tricky's Back in the states. After doing some producing for Rhianna new album or old now"Good Girl Gone Bad. He's doing his own shit again. Over due!

Knowle West Boy is the album that sums up everything that Tricky has accomplished since his 1995 Maxinquaye debut. From the sardonic bar-room blues of Puppy Toy to the haunting quasi-classicism of Joseph; from the twisted Specials-worshipping punk of Council Estate to the bereft torchery of Past Mistake; from the Roxy Music’s The Bogus Man-at-the-dancehall art-stomp of Bacative to the poignant autobiographical tale of teen pregnancy that is School Gates, Knowle West Boy sees our misunderstood hero reaching into the post-punk, Two-Tone, reggae, hip hop and pure pop he grew up adoring, twisting it all into surreal Tricky shapes using his astonishingly accomplished band and a host of great undiscovered singers, and ending up with the most varied and accessible set of his career.-via-pr

A Tribe Called Quest-Old School Wedsenday

Tribe Called Quest with the cross colors and houser days for me. One of the funky and bouncing hip-hop groups of all time. I didn't see much but heard a lot of. I remember them on In Living Color as well as many artist.

With Q-Tip (Kamal Fareed), rapper Phife Dawg (Malik Taylor), and DJ/producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad. A fourth member, rapper Jarobi White.

A Tribe Called Quest was formed in 1988, though both Q-Tip (b. Jonathan Davis) and Phife (b. Malik Taylor) had grown up together in Queens. Q-Tip met DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad while at high school and, after being named by the Jungle Brothers (who attended the same school), the trio began performing. A Tribe Called Quest's recording debut came in August 1989, when their single, "Description of a Fool," appeared on a tiny area label (though Q-Tip had previously guested on several tracks from De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising and later appeared on Deee-Lite's "Groove Is in the Heart").

Signed to Jive Records by 1989, A Tribe Called Quest released their first album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, one year later. Much like De La Soul, Tribe looked more to jazz as well as '70s rock for their sample base -- "Can I Kick It?" plundered Lou Reed's classic "Walk on the Wild Side" and made it viable in a hip-hop context. No matter how solid their debut was, second album The Low End Theory outdid all expectations and has held up as perhaps the best hip-hop LP of all time.

Without question the most intelligent, artistic Hip-Hop group during the 1990s, A Tribe Called Quest jump-started and perfected the hip-hop alternative to hardcore and
gangsta rap. In essence, they abandoned the macho posturing rap music had been constructed upon, and focused instead on abstract philosophy and message tracks. The "sucka MC" theme had never been completely ignored in hip-hop, but Tribe confronted numerous black issues -- date rape, use of the word nigger, the trials and tribulations of the rap industry -- all of which overpowered the occasional game of the dozens.

Bo Jackson! Where you at now?

You on Point Phife?

I like black, puerto rican and mexican. Than Haitian

Can I Kick? Yes you Can.

N.W.A- Gangster Rap Comes in. Old School Wed

N.W.A Stands for Niggaz With Attitude.
The FEDS hated Fuck The Police of Straight Outta Compton. They said it will create hate towards the police.
Core members were Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren and DJ Yella AKA Yellow Boy. The forgotten members Arabian Prince, Krazy Dee, and The D.O.C.
Get It Right!! Where's Yella?

N.W.A What can I say than fuck, bitch, hole and pussy. One of the many artist I was listening to while a kid. Thanks Cuz.

I remember getting forced to be at church and once awake from my nap in church, telling myself it's only 2 episodes of cartoons. The time period of church to help me threw. Little should have known. Once out pop in that tape "Hey Mister Dope Man your Think you slick, selling drugs to my sister now she's sick, If she happens to die i stick it in your culo with a 38. slug" Dopeman then get hit, whipped and ears pulled.

Dr Dre left and formed Death Row Records to become a legend on the beats. Introduced us to Snoop, Eminem, The Game and 50.
Easy-E died from AIDS introduced us to Bone Thugs.
MC Ren has moved on and helps with Public Enemy's recording schedules guesting on some of their tracks.
MC Yella now directs and stars in porn films.
Ice Cube left the crew after wrongful contracts. Had beef with N.W.A did "No Vaseline" for N.W.A. Went to Priority Records doing some dope as tracks repping South Central. Became a movie star.

Here's some video's of the crew including the diss.

Not The Actual Video.

guerrillaFM's Old School Wednesday's back!

As I can recall. We always had music video's till now. Once Reality TV came. After MTV stopped music video's once and for all. Same goes for other stations. You only get brief clip.

Kidz In The Hall

Kidz In The Hall if you never heard of them than you might want to goggle them. Not really a big fan. Guerilla Union has put them on the bill. I didn't like the additions that should have been on The Paid Dues tour, than Rock The Bells but they played it safe. I like the Cool Kids a bit. Hip-hop has went Hiptro for some artist.

Double-O unfortunately got into it at a Tempe, AZ club. Where he previously performed. What happened? Why a fight you? You just performed. It will be a mystery to the people. I am not gonna say what hospital injuries he suffered from that's personal.

Here's a link to the fiasco.

Danny Way

Wow! What can the world say. Same goes for Bob Burnquist. X-Games 14 was a movie to the skaters all across the world. If it's courage, strength, integrity and will. Must I say that Big Air captured that this weekend. If you ever seen a moment besides a movie than that was it. My friend Rosie from www.rosierocket.us always quotes a skate video. "Danger, good ole danger" from Are We There Yet? Which features Danny Way and Jesse Fritsch. It was memorable. Thank you. It was Trashers.

Here's the clip that was near a fatal experience
