Old School Weds with Rob Base DJ EZRock
Their first U.S. single and release was "DJ Interview," appeared on World to World, which later got them a recording contract with Profile Records in 1987.
The first Profile release was "It Takes Two". It uses multiple samples from the James Brown and Lyn Collins 1972 song "Think (About It)." The track first became a regional hit and then slowly climbed the Hot 100, eventually peaking at #36 and picking up a platinum single certification. The song also peaked at #3 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
An album, also called It Takes Two, was quickly put together and it produced a significant follow-up hit, "Joy and Pain," which sampled a song of the same name by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, as well as "Put The Music Where Your Mouth Is" by the Olympic Runners. It also hit the Top 10 on the dance chart and climbed to #58 on the Hot 100. "Get On the Dance Floor," a track released to clubs in between the two singles, hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1989. Boosted by those singles the It Takes Two album went platinum. However, vicious rumors started to circulate that Rob Base had legal problems for using samples from Maze's Frankie Beverly for the hit "Joy and Pain", and he had his own personal problems. DJ E-Z Rock also was forced to leave the group due to his own personal issues, so Rob Base was left to be a solo artist.
He responded in 1989 with The Incredible Base, his debut solo album. It wasn't as successful as It Takes Two. One song from the album hit the dance chart in late 1989: "Turn It Out (Go Base)," credited only to Rob Base.
Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock had a reunion album in 1994 with Break of Dawn, however the album didn't do well critically or commercially.

Travis Barker & DJ AM Survive Plane Crash
Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were both critically injured late Friday night in a plane crash that killed 4 other passengers, authorities are reporting.
“The Learjet 60 crashed on takeoff at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 11:53 p.m. Friday” and both Barker and Goldstein were transported to the Joseph Still Burn Center, in Augusta, Georgia, suffering “extensive burns”.
Although earlier reports feared musicians Gavin DeGraw and Perry Ferrell were on the plane as well, those facts have proven to be false at this time.
While it’s unclear what caused the crash, authorities say they saw sparks “coming off the runway” during take-off.

Arabian Prince
What made you become a DJ?
I was young, broke, lived in the hood and moms didn't want me hangin' out all night since I am an only child, so I figured I would do the DJ thing because I would be the first to get to the party, the last to leave and have cash to boot.
What was your most exciting DJ gig to date, and why?
I would have to say playing in an underground bunker with no ventilation and a few thousand people in Vienna, Austria. They partied ‘til 6am, and then took me to an after party that went on ‘til 12 noon.
Who do you currently produce?
I produce all my own music, as well as do stuff for Stones Throw Records. It’s the 20th anniversary of Supersonic as well, so I am doing a new version with the OG's, JJ FAD and a new joint. I also ghost write and produce for a lot of peeps, shhhh.
What projects/albums do you have coming out in the fall?
I am currently working on my Greatest Hits on Stones Throw Records, a new Professor X album, (my AKA for Electro Funk) and a new animated music group.
How much do you use computers for making music (recording or spinning)?
I do most of my production and DJ sets using computers now because I travel so much, I still love vinyl but it cost so much to carry records on planes now.
Have you used—or do you plan to use—the FireWire capability of the d.2 pro in your music? If so, how?
I use the FireWire with Reason and Live, as well as to catalogue my vinyl to digital. I have also been messing around with video DJ software like PCDJ VJ, which works well with the d.2 pro.

Tupac 12 year anniversary R.I.P
I Get Around
Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 — September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper. In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a successful film actor and a prominent social activist. He is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-selling hip hop artist, with over seventy five million albums sold worldwide, including over fifty million in the United States.[2] Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social and racial equality, as well as his raw descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol abuse and conflicts with the law.
Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.[3][4] Shakur's debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained critical recognition and backlash for its controversial lyrics. Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. Later, he was shot five times and robbed in the lobby of a recording studio in New York City. Following the event, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the incident and did not warn him; the controversy helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. After serving eleven months of his sentence for sexual abuse, Shakur was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Suge's assistance, Shakur agreed to release three albums under the Death Row label.
To Live and Die in LA
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, and died six days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at the University Medical Center

It’s a compiliation of Alex Jones / Infowars films that focus on the events before 9/11, in sequential timeline fasion. The goal was to make a nice tool so that ‘new’ people could get a comprehensive history lesson by only watching one film rather than 2 or more. The hybrid film ends roughly when the planes hit the towers.
http://www. infowars. com/
http://www. prisonplanet. com/
The films used are Road to Tyranny, Terrorstorm, Martial Law and by extension Police State 2000. Considering the content I used, I cut out around certain things that newcomers would likely find outlandish, while dodging many of the more controversial items. I tried to make it as compelling and ‘bulletproof’ as I could. I only added a few complimentary items (news archive footage, and the taped WTC Bombing phone conversation), and I put a few of my own touches on a few spots.
This release is for this years 9/11 anniversary. I originally released it for last years 9/11 but shortly before lightning had taken out my main PC, which cut short my time to edit and then the substitute PC’s limitations had the quality looking like crap. So this year I decided to dredge up the film, shorten it while cleaning up the slop I missed last year.
In particular, I cleaned up the gross sound composting issues that were obvious when it would switch between segments from different films.
This time it took less time to render than the length of the film, where last year it took someting like over literally 24 hours with that crap PC. In a bit of a rush again this year, I haven’t wathced this film straight-thru as of writing this, but it should be in good order. I’ll be watching it right away, and then shortly I’ll clean up whatever slop might still be there and do a full DVD release. All videos sources are full quality, so it should look nice.
